Healing Herbs

Herbs are a fantastic way to create interesting sauces, marinades and seasoning or to give your dish a little something extra. But do you know how good they are for you? Below I have listed some herbs and their benefits, a full list will be in my book due out next year. 

 

Cinnamon: Anti-inflammatory; balances blood sugar levels; treats diarrhea, cramps, abdominal pains, helps circulation coughing and lower back pain.  

 

Clove: increases circulation; improves digestion; treats vomiting and nausea.

 

Garlic: supports the immune system; helps eliminate parasites and infections; aids high and low blood pressure, lung ailments and headaches.

 

Ginger: good for circulation and warmth, indigestion, cramps and nausea, anti-inflammatory, protects against bacteria and fungi, boosts the immune system. 

 

Lavender: antidepressant; helps relieve headaches, anxiety and insomnia.

 

Mint: aids digestion.

 

Nutmeg: can help relieve nervous disorders and heart problems. Improves circulation, can help with anxiety.
